The corners are the whole point

Anyone can sand the middle of a deck board. The reason decks look tired after a refinish is the parts a sander never touched — between the boards, up against the house, around every baluster and post, and the underside of the nosing.

Media goes where the sanding disc cannot. That is why a blasted deck takes stain evenly and a sanded one goes patchy along every edge within a season.

What is worth doing

  • Decks and stairs — the strongest case, and the fastest turnaround.
  • Railings, balusters and pergolas — where the labour saving is enormous.
  • Fences — we will do them, but read the honest note below first.
  • Siding and timber accents including half-stripped feature walls.
Where we will talk you out of itOn a large weathered fence, a wash and re-stain — or replacement — is often cheaper than blasting the whole run. We would rather tell you that up front than take the job and have you feel it was not worth it.

Then seal it

Freshly stripped wood is open and thirsty, and in our sun it will start greying again quickly if it is left. Have your stain or sealer ready to go within a few days of the blast. If you want it handled end to end, say so and we will line it up.
